I think spring is my favorite season. The vibrant green that emerges is a welcome change from the dullness of winter, and the flowers blossoming in their perfection add so much beauty to the world. But what I love most is the pulse of newness – new life, a fresh start.

Spring is also my favorite time of year for portraits, and it was a joy to capture this sweet family in April! Soon they will be welcoming a baby into their home, and you can feel the abundant love they already have for this little girl.

Something else special about this portrait session is that I was able to do it at my families farm, Bountiful Blessings Farm, near Williamsport Tennessee. This is where I grew up, and I spent many happy days playing in this creek. Oh the memories! It’s rewarding to be able to create memories and capture moments that will last a lifetime for others in a place that is dear to me.
